COMMERCIAL TRAVELLERS’ SECRETARY RETIRES

(P.A.) Auckland, March 7. Retirement, after 25 years’ service, of the general secretary (Mr. W. F. Herrick) was announced at the annual conference of the Commercial Travellers and Warehousemen’s Association, which was held in Auckland. Mr. Herrick, whose headquarters are in Christchurch, joined the Auckland Association in 1902, and was a foundation member of the Canterbury Association in 1913, and became its first vice-president. He was treasurer of the United Association from 1916 to 1922, when he became general secretary,

Mr. Herrick’s assistant, Mr. D. M. Thomson, of Christchurch, was appointed general secretary by the conference.
