At New Plymouth yesterday morning Blanket, who is engaged in tho Taranaki Cup, was to have galloped seven furlongs on the plough, with N. Vaughan up. However, he dropped his pilot at the half-mile and galloped back the reverse way. When he recovered from his self-imposed exercise Blanket, with T. Webster up, was sent an easy half-mile, taking 56sec.
