POSTPONED!
Recd. 1 a.m. London, March 4, The Governor of the British Gold Coast (Sir Alon Burns) has postponed the execution of five natives who were condemned to death. His action followed a lively debate in the House of Commons, during which it was suggested that the treatment of these men in removing them several times to the place of execution and then taking them hack again tarnished the name of Britain. The Colonial Secretary, under requests from the House, asked the Governor of the Gold Coast to postpone the execution. The. Governor postponed execution and fresh investigation is to made.
