Final Fur Facts | WRING the past six months we have brought before your notice. ' a number of facts about the various I lur-bearing animals that provide: the pelts used in the fur trade. j I These facts, we trust, have been ! of interest to you, and we further:' ' hope that they have given you ! ; some slight appreciation of the! i amount of careful preparation,' j skilled tailoring and expert finish-j i ing that is embodied in the manu-i j facture of these furs in our factory. I This week's fact concludes oujI series for this season.' Next year J i we hope, we will again be able to, 1 I present another senes of interest- ; mg articles about furs for your en-i 1 tertainment. I In the meantime, however, we: wish to suggest that only the un-J i wise will delay until next season to, ' purchase their new fur. Despite the' j fact that we have had an exception-1 ' ally busy season we still have a' splendid range of furs with good 1 solid linings, but replacements are, exceedingly difficult, and we can. confidently state that quality and; prices are not going to be as good next season. If you anticipate being interested, in a fur next season, we suggest that you visit our showroom and, make your selection now. Our layby is available, and coupons need not be produced until you are ready to take delivery. If you are already fortunate enough to possess a fur, we advise, you to give it the care and atten-1 tion it so rightly merits. The dan-; ger, especially in the summer! months, is from moths, which first 1 devour the hair at the roots and then perforate the leather and so render the fur entirely useless. I Various anti-moth remedies, such : as cedar chips, tobacco dust (easily obtainable from father) and na" 1 - thalene are fairly effective, but by far the most important precaution; is to handle and beat the fur frequently. Use a light, pliable cane, and after beating, place the fur in an air-tight box with one of the : suggested deferents. It will still be advisable, however, to air the fur occasionally and repeat the beating process. If-you want to avoid all that I trouble, send your fur in to us for summer storage. Our monthly ■ i charge is nominal, and you’ll know J your fur is in the best of hands. | Better still, it is probable that, if you have had your fur for some: time that it may need relining, or! that it would be all the better lor a remodel. With our expert staff at your service, worn furs need not be cast away. Send your repairs in to i us now, and if you wish it, we will I put them through our de-mothingl I process and store them until you, I are ready to take delivery of them ; next year. , Remember, that though we arei j temporarily ceasing our advertising ! our showroom and repair factory i are still at your service, and that ' furs fashioned by Blandfords are first in quality and lowest in price.
