RAETIHI. / Mrs. J. A. Mcßride has returned to her home in Wellington after spending a holiday with her mother, Mrs. G. Anderson. Miss P. Tolley is at present on a visit to Wellington. Miss Doris Baxter is spending the school holidays at Dunedin. Private R. Brown spent week-end leave with Mr. and Mrs. C. D. Lynch, Raetihi. Corporal H. Brown has returned to camp after spending furlough with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. T. H. Brown, Mangatiti. Private R. Cole is at present on leave and is visiting his parents at Orautoha. Mr. A. M. Laing, headmaster of the School, Wanganui, is spending the school holidays with his family at Raetihi. Miss D. James has returned from the Auckland Training College and is spending the j term holidays at her home, Raetihi. Mrs. T. Langdon is visiting her daughter, Mrs. B. Russell, Taumarunui. VVAVERLEY Mrs. A. Dickie is the guest of Mrs. Meuli, Hawera. Miss Olive Matthews, Wellington, is visiting her mother for a few weeks. Miss Gribbon is on holiday in the South Island. Mrs. Wright, of Wellington, is now living with her mother for the duration of the war. Mrs. H. Morrison is visiting Palmerston North. Mis 3 Joan Bilton, Wellington, is the guest of her mother, Mrs. F. J. Bilton. Miss Rae Brann is Visiting Shannon for a week. Miss J. Oakerfull. Wellington Training College, is the guest of her, mother. MARTON Advice received by Mr. J. N. Lawson. of Marton, from his son, Private J. E. B. Lawson, who was reported missing and a prisoner of war in Italy, and also Private Ron Stanstiall, son'of Mr. A. Stantiall, of Marton, are both well. Mr. and Mrs. F. Rogers and Miss Allen, of Lower Hutt, who were in Wanganui for the Rogers—Mcßrearty wedding, have been the guests of Mr. and Mrs. L. G. Allen, Wanganui Road, Marton.
