MORRIS, HEDSTROM YEAR The accounts of Morris, Hedstrom, Ltd. (Suva), for the year ended March 31 show net profit at £54,949, compared with £53.296 in the previous year, and £51,783 in 1940. The amount available for distribution was £122,362, which the directors recommended for allocation as follows:—Final dividends of 3 per cent, on preference shares (paid on April 1), making 6 per cent.
for the year, unchanged, and' 3 per cent, on ordinary shares (paid on June 30), making 6 per cent, for the year, unchanged, leaving £100.174 to be carried forward. It was also recommended that from this balance a fighter aeroplane to cost approximately £5500, should be presented to the Fiji Fighter Fund. Gross trading profit was £226,357, compared with £186,528 the previous year.
