POOR RESPONSE

REPATRIATION OF ITALIANS Received March 1, 10.20 p.m. LONDON, March 1. The Marseilles correspondent of The Times says that two Italian liners arrived at Bastia to take off Italians willing to be repatriated, but only 710 of the 20,000 Italians in Corsica presented themselves, despite the presence of Count Ciano’s brother to supervise proceedings. At Ajaccio only 217 turned up of the 400 Italians who should have returned to Italy to-day.
