NOMINATIONS FOR OFFICE AN ELECTION NECESSARY. Nominations of officers and committee for the Wanganui Agricultural Association closed yesterday. The patron, president, vice-presidents and honorary treasurer were re-elected unopposed, but 30 nominations have been received for 25 vacancies on the general committee. The electien will take place at the annual meeting next Wednesday. Following are the nominations: Patron, Mr. Donald Ross; president, Mr. W. Craig; vice-presidents, Messrs. R. Campion and C. C. Baldwin,; honorary treasurer, Mr. C. M. Strouts; general committee (25 required), Messrs. J. G. Alexander, G. R. Anderson, W. G. Bason, A. N. F. Bignell, H. G. Birch, L. Campion, W. G. Cooper, A. H. Collins, L. V. Donovan, R. Farley. W. R. Ford, K. Handley, Jas. Hunter, L. G. Kellick, C. R. Leach, J. J. Lissette, E. M. Hardy, Stanley Hughes, Allan B. McFarlane, Alex Macnah, C. J. Masters, R. Mitchell, T. Mitchell, Noel Neilson, W. E. Robbie, A. C. Sievewright, J. A. Todd, A. C. Veitch. R. O. White, J. C. Williams. Ot the nominees Messrs. J. G. Alexander, A. N. F. Bignell, K. Handley, Stanley Hughes, Noel Nielson, H. C. Veitch and J. C. Williams are additional aspirants, making an election necessary. Two members of last general committee, Messrs. W. J. Robinson and R. R. Young did not seek reelection.
