COMING ATTRACTIONS
PLAZA— The long-awaited film "Prison Without Bars,” starring the new French actress, Corinne Luchaire, will open to-morrow with Edna Best, Mary Morris, Martita Hunt, and Barry K. Barnes in support roles. On Tuesday will follow the breezy comedy “I'll Give a Million" in which the featured players are Warner Baxter, Marjorie Weaver, Jean Hersholt, Peter Lorre and Sig Rumann. The attraction on Friday of next week will be Barbara Stanwyck and Henry Fonda in "Mad Miss Manton.” REGENT— The double feature programme for Saturday will be Preston Foster, Patricia Ellis and Frank Jenks in the Crime Club mystery, “The Lady in the Morgue” and the Ritz Brothers and Joan Dav’s in a frenzy of riotous fun in “Life Begins At College.” The attractions next Wednesday will be Gene Autry, the singing saddle star with Smiley Burnette and Frances Grant in "Oh, Susanna!” and Glenda Farrell and Barton Mac Lane in a "Torchy Blane” newspaper comedydrama entitled “Adventurous Blonde." DUCHESS— The attraction at the Duchess Theatre to-morrow and Saturday will be Zasu Pitts and James Gleason in the comedy "Forty Naughty Girls,” followed on Monday and Tuesday by Preston Foster and Carol Hughes in “The Westland. Case," and Wednesday and Thursday by Ralphy Reader and Gino Malo in the comedy "The Gang Show.” The week will finish with Sonja Henie and Tyrone Power in the musical comedy “Thin Ice” on Friday and Saturday. . MAJESTIC— Freddie Bartholomew and Mickey Rooney are the stars of “The Boy From Barnardos,” which opens on Saturday and will run until next Thursday. The next attraction will be Clark Gable and Myrna Loy in “Too Hot to Handle," a saga of the newsreel photographer.
