FINAL DIVIDEND DECLARED The inspector of the Bank of Australasia has received cabled advice that a dividend at the rate of 9 per cent, per annum, being a distribution of 4s 6d a share less British income tax at 4s in the pound, has been declared by the court of directors. An interim dividend of 3s 6d a share, at the rate of 7 per cent, per annum less British inebme tax of 4s in the pound, was paid on September 30, 1938. This makes a distribution fpr the year at the rate of 8 per cent. The net profit shown for the year is £310,049 10s 9d. The dividend will be payable at any branch of the Bank of Australasia in New Zealand at the current rate of exchange for sight bills on London on the date of negotiation. The New Zealand list of shareholders will be close on March 6 for the purpose of the above-mentioned dividend, which will be paid on March 31.
