SIR J. CAHN’S XI MATCH AGAINST COLLEGES [Per Press Association.) OAMARU, March 1. Sir Julien Cahn’s cricket team met the South Island colleges at Waitaki, under pleasant weather conditions. The usually fast wicket was mediumpaced on account of a light drizzle overnight, the outfield being slow. The visitors won the toss and took first lease of the wicket, to score 3SO runs for the loss of six wickets when the innings was declared closed. The schoolboys took the crease on a drier wicket, but were unable to withstand the attack of the visitors, losing six wickets for 68 runs at stumps.
