SPORTING GIFT CASE
DECISION OF COMMITTEE APPEAL TO BE LODGED [ Per Prose Association.! WELLINGTON, Feb. 28. The president of the New Zealand Placing Conference, on behalf of the executive committee has, under rule 57 of the Rules of Racing, directed the stipendiary steward, Mr. B. N. Sandilands, to lodge an appeal to the judges of’ the conference against the decision of the Wanganui District Committee in relation to J. Manuel’s appeal against the decision of the Judicial Committee of the AshhurstPohangina Racing Club in connection with the Sporting Gift-Gay Chou case. The appeal will be heard at the office of the New Zealand Racing Conference. The president has also directed an appeal by the deputy-stipendiary steward, Mr. L. Aiderton, to the Auckland District Committee against the decision of the Judicial Committee of the Rotorua Racing Club in connection with alleged interference by O. Evans, rider of Tosh, in the Borough Handicap.
