EMPIRE DEVELOPMENTS PERFORMANCE OF VICKERS WELLESLEY BOMBERS [ British Official Wireless / RUGBY, Feb. 26. The Air Minister, Sir Kingsley Wood, in a speech described the flight of the Vickers Wellesley bombers to Australia last year as a further stride forward in the plans of the Royal Air Force to develop longrange flying in the interests of British defence. The performance was one of the most notable of British enterprises, capturing the world's long-distance record. Those great qualities ol courage and daring were still with the force and with the new recruits who were of a high quality and who were joining in large numbers.
