Miss T. Hunter, Wanganui, was a recent visitor to Wellington.
Mr. and Mrs. C. Bell and Miss P. Bell, Wellington, were week-end visitors to Wanganui.
Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Hardcastle, Auckland, are on a short visit to Wanganui.
Miss Sheila McGbinn, of Taihape, is visiting Auckland.
Miss'E. Moffett and Miss D. Hodgson, New Plymouth, spent the weekend in Wanganui.
Miss Ruth Gower, of Wellington, is staying with Miss Elwyn Low, Rapanui.
Dr. and Mrs. F. C. Hutchison, who have been visiting Christchurch for the medical conference, returned to Wanganui on Sunday evening. Mrs. C. N. Hannan arrived from New Plymouth on Saturday to spend a short holiday in Wanganui, and later going on to Napier.
Mrs. Kenneth Cox, who, with her infant daughter, has been spending two months with her parents, Dr. and Mrs. G. J. Adams, Victoria Avenue, will return this week to her home in Dunedin.
Miss Montgomery Moore, Wanganui, who has been visiting Christchurch, left the southern city on Saturday on her return to the North Island.
Mrs. G. W. Perrett, well-known Wanganui soprano, left on Saturday for Melbourne. Her mother, Mrs. R. Hodder, of Auckland, accompanied her.
Dr. and Mrs. A. H. Wall, Campbell Street, are visiting Hanmer Springs after attending the medical conference and will return to Christchurch before leaving for Wanganui.
Miss Jean Luke left Lor Christchurch on Saturday, where she will be the guest of Mrs. Chas Humphrey, prior to commencing her studies at the Canterbury University College.
Mr. and Mrs. R. C. Earle, Somme Parade, Upper Aramoho, leave to-day on a visit to Rotorua. Mrs. Earle’s mother and sister, Mrs. and Miss Warburton, of Melbourne, who are their guests, also Mrs. McCosh, of Aramoho. will accompany them. Dr. and Mrs. G. H. Robertson, who have been visiting Christchurch for the medical conference, went on to Hanmer Springs on Saturday. They will later travel to Nelson before returning to Wanganui. * * * * A wedding of interest which . will take place in England shortly is that of Miss Denise Godefroi, daughter of Mr. Jocelyn Godefroi, one of the officials of the Lord Chamberlain's Office in the Palace. She is marrying the Hon. David Kenworthy, heir of Lord Strabolgi, Socialist peer and former M.P., who recently visited New Zealand. Accompanying her husband on a world tour, Mrs. Andrew Bell, Glasgow, is at present in Auckland, where she will stay for a fortnight. Mr. and Mrs. Bell intend to spend seven weeks in New Zealand. Mrs. Bell is well known in Glasgow for the practical interest she has taken in her husband’s work as secretary of the Young Men’s Christian Association, acting as hostess in the camps, which were held by the association at Lochgoilhead. During the war Mrs. Bell took a prominent part in the auxiliary of 200 women, which was organised by the association to entertain the soldiers at home on leave, and also those who had been wounded and were hospital patients.
