TAX CONCESSION CUTS
ACTION IN GERMANY SMALL WAGE-EARNERS AFFECTED. BERLIN, Feb. 24. A drastic curtailment of concessions means a 124 per cent, increase in the income tax of single persons and married couples without children. Allowances have also been reduced in respect of servants’ wages, church taxes, and employees’ expenses. The revision aims at a large increase of revenue without new taxes. Small wage-earners are particularly affected.
