METHODIST CHURCH The following stewards were elected for the ensuing year at a congregational meeting in the Methodist Church last week: —Circuit stewards, Messrs. Wainwright and Herbert; envelope stewards, Messrs. Hamblyn and Fairweather; guild representatives, Mesdames Meuli and S. Gunn: choir representatives, Mr. Parkinson and Miss L. Wainwright; church representatives, Miss M. Knowles, Messrs. Mairs and Richards; minister’s stewards, Messrs. Parkinson and S. Spindler; benevolent stewards, Mrs. Moore and Miss Locker; visitors’ stewards, Mesdames Butters and Fairweather; society stewards, Messrs. H. Locker, R. E. Moore, G. and K. Weidenbohm, and Parkinson; homo and foreign missions, Mrs. Weidenbohm; country stewards, Mr. Smart (Manutahi), J. Oliver and P. Metcalfe (Alton). Mr. Chatterton (Opaku), Mr. Herbert (Kakaramea). After the meeting a social was held, solos being contributed by Mrs. Fairweather and Miss Knowles. A competition was won by Mrs. R.
E. Moore and a talk was given by Mr. Dave Minihira on his experiences whilst travelling with the Waiata Maori Choir. 7.0: “Manon” (Part 1). Opera by J.
