METHODIST CHURCH The following stewards were elected for the ensuing year at a congregational meeting in the Methodist Church last week: —Circuit stewards, Messrs. Spindler; benevolent stewards, Mrs. Moore and Miss Locker; visitors’ stewards, Mesdames Butters and Fairweather; society stewards, Messrs. H. Locker, R. E. Moore, G. and K. Weidenbohm, and Parkinson; homo and foreign missions, Mrs. Weidenbohm; country stewards, Mr. Smart (Manutahi), J. Oliver and P. Metcalfe (Alton). Mr. Chatterton (Opaku), Mr. Herbert (Kakaramea). After the meeting a social was held, solos being contributed by Mrs. Fairweather and Miss Knowles. A competition was won by Mrs. R.
