FITNESS WEEK CARNIVAL. fOwn Correspondent.) RAETIHI, Feb. 24. The “Fitness Week” swimming carnival organised by the Raetihi Swimming Club provided some good racing and showed that there was no dearth of talent in the district. The young boys and girls of Raetihi figured prominently, while an outstanding performer was Miss B. Downes, of the Raurimu School. Diving was a popular feature with those present and in the ladies’ section the difficulty in separating Miss S. Feltham, Rev. M. Undershill and Mr. S. Sims for their assistance in the capacity of judges and starter respectively, while Mr. A. Head and Mr. D. Chalmers as representatives of the Swimming Club worked assiduously. The results were as follows:—Junior boys. 25 yards: W. Haitana 1, E. Head 2. Junior girls, 25 yards: A. Langden 1. H. Cronin 2. Senior girls, 25 yards: B. Downes 1, S. Robinson 2. Senior boys, 75 yards: R. Bryers 1. T. Duggan 2. High School girls, 25 yards: A. Langdon 1, B. Downes 2. High School boys, 25 yards: T. Duggan 1, R. Ogden 2. Race for Scouts only: W. Haitana E.
