ATHLETIC MEETING

WEST/L’OAST CHAMPIONSHIPS. A great deal of interest is being taken in the West Coast (North .Island) amateur athletic and cycling championship meeting, which is to be held on Cook’s Gardens to-morrow, beginning at three o’clock in the afternoon and continuing again at night. The tracks, both asphalt and grass, are reported to be in good order and the promoters are hoping that the weather will remain fine and there will be a record attendance.
