New Stand Patronised. The new stand which has been erected for patrons of the “outside” enclosure at the Wanganui Jockey Club’s meeting was used for the first time yesterday and found favour with a large crowd of visitors. The “outside” crowd numbered well over 1000, and the facilities provided in conjunction with the new stand were fully tested. More than 500 people can be comfortably seated on the grandstand, and there is room for several hundred more on the grass ramp in front of the structure, from which all can have an uninterrupted view of the races.
