SOCIAL ROUND IN THE COUNTRY
CARD EVENING AT WAVERLEY (Own Correspondent) WAVERLEY. Feb. 22. On Monday evening Mesdames J. H. Strachan, Jas. Newland and J. J. Johnston gave an enjoyable card party at Mrs. Strachan's home to raise funds for the W.D.F.U. flower show and “bring-and-buy” stall, which will be .held on March 10. Over 30 people 'were present and the party proved most successful. Bridge prizes were won by Mrs. Metcalfe and Mr. H. J. Wilson for auction, and Mrs. H. S. Barrow for contract.
