STAR COMPETITORS FOR ST. PATRICK’S SPORTS. (Own Correspondent.) TAIHAPE, Feb. 21. The Taihape St. Patrick’s Day Sports Club has received advice that R. Ulmer, British Empire Games cyclist, and W. Pullar, noted long-dis-tance runner, will compete at the St. Patrick’s sports on March 18 at Taihape. BASEBALL. Two basebal Iteams from Wanganui will be in Taihape on February 26 and the visit is arousing keen interest amongst local supporters of the game. The following team has been selected to represent Taihape against Merewethers:—G. Morgan (catcher), E. Smith (first base), A. Floyd (second base), E. Walker (third base), F. Fisher (pitcher), P. Beauchamp (short stop), Hyland (right outfield), F. Connell (rover), C. Gregory (left outfield), G. Whann (centre outfield). Reserves: F. Bardell, D. Sisson, A. Flavell.
