MR. SAVAGE REPLIES TO STATEMENT. [ Per Press Association J WELLINGTON. Feb. 22. Replying to Professor R. M. Algie’s statement about being refused leave to broadcast, the Prime Minister. Rt. Hon. M. J. Savage, said: “Who is Professor Algie? Is he the same oentleman who a few months ago dropped a fairly lucrative position with the Auckland University College to take up the cudgels against the Government during the last election campaign? “Has Professor Algie forgotten so soon lhe results of his efforts on that occasion and by what stretch of imagination can he claim to represent anyone, over the air or anywhere else?

“What attitude did lhe same Professor Algie take in respect of the same privilege when at the Auckland University College?”
