PRISONERS SENTENCED

SUPREME COURT AT INVERCARGILL r p er Pre.. As.c-ir.lion. I INVERCARGILL, Feb. 22. The following sentences were imposed in the Supreme Court to-day b; Sir Michael Myers: William Henr; Melvin forgery, 12 months haid la hour; Ronald James Munro, forgery three years' Borstal; Geoffrey Corbe and Jeffery Francis Evans Turner breaking, entering and theft, to com' up for sentence within two years i called upon.

AT CHRISTCHURCH

( Per Pue.-s Association. I CHRISTCHURCH, Feb. 22. Prisoners were sentenced before Mr. Justice Northcroft in the Supreme Court as follows: Eric James Ferguson, breakup and entering a warehouse and committing theft, six months’ hard labour. Two youths. Maurice James Hog£ and James Begg Bruce, were sentenced on 34 charges of breaking anc entering and attempted breaking and entering. Hogg faced an additional charge of breaking and entering witn theft was ordered to be detained in a Borstal for a period not exceeding three years, and Bruce lor a period not exceeding two years. Robert James Wood, aged 1( breaking and entering with theft Borstal for a term net exceeding two years.
