CARDINALS EXCHANGE VISITS

STRONG SUPPORT FOR MASSIML (Independent Cable Service.) Received Feb. 22, 11.5 p.m. VATICAN CITY, Feb. 22. The cardinals all day exchanged visits and conferred before the conclave. A survey of the visits showed that Cardinal Massimo Massimi, legal expert, orator and author received the largest number—l 7. Cardinal Massimi has not previously appeared among the leading candidates, but the number of his supporters, it is believed, substantially exceeds yesterday’s callers, who are known to favour his election.
