PRETTY WEDDING

MAIDS IN RAINBOW COLOURS CAMERON—BLYTH Christ Church, Wanganui, yesterday afternoon, was tne scene ot a very pretty and popular wedding, botn tne bride and bridegroom being descendants of two old pioneer families. The bride was Mary (Mollie) Campbell, only daugnter or Mr. am. Mrs. J. V. Blyth, of “Waterdale, No. 1 Line, and the bridegroom, Hugo Roger, second son of Mr. H. J. Cameron (deputy-master of the Rangitikei Hunt Club) and Mrs Cameron, of “Glenmore,” Turakina Valley. The ceremony was performed bj the Rev. W. M. Smalliield, of Sc. Barnabas’ Church, and the floral de-

corations, which were in a colour scheme to match the bridal frocks, were of hydrangeas in pink, blue ana green. These were massed round the pulpit and at the end of the chon pews, while at each end of the pews ror tne guests were posies of flowers in the same colourings. The bride, who was given away by her father, made a aamty picture as she entered the church to tne strains of the bridal march, played by Mrs. Freda Cunningham, fane was attired in an exquisite gown of magnolia satin, simply fashioned with a neartshaped neckline and a row of tiny buttons down the back to correspond with the buttons on the long sleeves which tapered to points over the hands. The skirt flared to fullness at the back and widened into a train. The long cut tulle veil was held in place by a spray of real orange blossom. fahe carried a dainty armsneal of palest pink Eugenia waterlilies and buds, with finest fronds oi maidenhair fern and deep vellum ribbon. _ Attending her were three bridesmaids, Miss B. Horsley, Miss N. Cameron (sister of the bridegroom), ana Miss P. Aitken, of New Plymouth. They wore frocks of lacquered organza, in pale blue, pale pinic and pale green respectively, giving a ramoow effect. Tne high-waistea bodices had heart-shaped necklines, full putt sleeves and tne skirts were maae full. Their head-dresses of trails of natural pale pink polyanthus roses and love-in-the-mist, were in perfect harmony with the dainty armsneats of pale pink carnations, geberas ana blue love-in-the-mist, witn ribbons to match each bridesmaid’s frock. Mr. C. Wood (Marton) attended as best man and Mr. F. Bromley (Hawera) and Mr. H. Lourie (Marton) vere the groomsmen. Messrs. R. H. ,Blyth, and M. Beaven asted as ushers at the church. A large number ot guests were received by Mr. and Mrs. Blyth, the brides mother wearing a navy blue lace frock with navy blue hat. She held a bouquet of rich cerise shaded roses, carnations and charm dahlias with toning ribbon. Mrs. J. A. Alcorn, aunt of the bridegroom, who assisted to receive the guests, was wearing a navy blue crepe matalaine frock with matching coat and navy blue hat. She carrieu a bouquet of scarlet and flame talisman roses and carnations with name cire ribbon. Mrs. F. Cunningham, sister ot tin bridegroom, who assisted the bride s mother, wore a forest green lace ensemble with wide brimmed cellophane straw hat to match and trimmed with a cluster of green roses. She held a bouquet ot apricoi and tawney-shaded angela roses. The customary toasts were honoured and a large number of telegrams of congratulation were received.
