Newcombe Memorial Fund. The treasurer of the Mildred Newcombe Memorial Fund wishes to acknowledge a donation of £5 from the Patea Plunket Society, which makes the total to date £412 17s 6d.
Coastal Shipping. The Wanganui town wharf was " scene of activity yesterday, when the motor vessel Breeze arrived from Wellington and the auxiliary motor vessel Hauturu from Onehunga. The Breeze discharged a large consignment of general cargo and commenced loading 1000 bales of wool for a homeboat at Wellington and 200 casks of tallow, while the Hauturu discharged a shipment of sugar and loaded general cargo. Both the twin screw steamer Rata, with 800 tons of coal from Westport and the Holmdale with general cargo from Wellington, are due to-day. while the Breeze will complete loading.
