POWER BOARD’S ENTERPRISE FULL USE TO BE MADE OF FILMS The use ot the cinematograph film as a means of educating users and probable users of electricity, in the country districts as well as in the city, is being availed of by the Wanganui Rangitikei Electric Tower Board. A modern projector, with speaking and sound equipment, has been bought and a demonstration of its uses is to be given its the Power Board offices to-day. “We intend to show films in the country districts as well as in the city,” the secretary of the board, Mr. G. A. Ammundsen, said. "The board does a lot of work with the women's organisations, such as the Women's Institutes, and the use of films will vary the means of imparting information.” A screening of three films was seen in the board's olfiices yesterday, are giving an insight to the large scale regimentation of youth in Germany in the cause of physical fitness. Another taught the crawl stroke in swimming very effectively and the third was devoted to showing the discoveries of science in relation to the adoption of light to safeguard eyesight. The equipment in use yesterday has been employd by the Wanganui Learn to Swim Week organisation to teach the crawl stroke.
