PRIMARY SCHOOLS’ CARNIVAL FINALISTS FOR TO-MORROW FULL PROGRAMME AT INTERMEDIATE BATHS The preliminary heats of the Wanganui Primary Schools’ Swimming and Life-saving Association's annual carnival were decided at the Intermediate School, Wanganui East School and Gonville baths last Thursday. Keen competition and a high standard of swimming were evident at each centre. The winners in the heats will be brought together at the Intermediate School baths to-morrow to contest the finals. A programme of 57 events will be put through during the afternoon, and approximately 200 individual competitors will be seen in action. The carnival is to be one of the features of Physical Fitness Week.
