Burning the the reclame of a lifeboat after it had been dashed ashore in a storm at Codrevy Hock, St. ltrs, Cornwall, on January 28. Only one of the crew survived. The bow of the boat bore her name, "John and Sarah Eliza Stych” and the stern, “Padstow No. 1 Life Boat."
