DIOCESAN CENTENARY APPEAL FUND

WANGANUI PAYS OVER £B5O PARISHIONERS’ COMMITTEE TO TAKE OVER At a meeting of the Wanganui committee of the Wellington Diocesan Centenary Appeal and Bishop's Fighting Fund yesterday, it was decided to pay £B5O subscribed in Wanganui to Canon D. B. Malcolm, of Wellington, the organising secretary. The purpose of the appeal is to equip Wellington with a cathedral and provide the Bishop with a fighting fund. The committee which raised the Wanganui quata is to hold a further meeting and hand over the work to a parishioners’ committee. The appeal is being spread over five years.
