FAILURE TO CLEAR FRONTAGE FARMER FINED For failing to comply with an order to remove gorse cut on his ironlagt on the side of Cameron Road, Cutn bert Dorn Corliss was fined £2 will costs 15s, and solicitor's fee £1 Is, b> Mr. J. H. Salmon in lhe Wanganu Magistrate's Court yesterday. Thomas Dix, engineer to the Waitotara County Council, said the road was narrow and the cut gorse, which was very heavy, was lying on the side of the road, and obstructed traffic, particularly stock, which could not get off the road to allow vehicles to get through. The magistrate said Corliss had an opportunity to remove the gorse but had not done so. Had he complied with the order the Council would not have pressed for a penalty.
