Old Whaler’s Grave.

When engaged on some road Excavation work, under a gnarled old ngaio tree a few miles south of Oaro, near Kaikoura, last week some Public Works men uncovered the grave of a whaler who was buried there in 1846. of these hardy seaferers have been found from time to time in that (district. Steps are being taken to preserve the grave.
