HON SEMPLE’S TOUR

SEEING THE NORTHLAND. VISIT TO ONERAHI AERODROME WHANGAREI, Feb. 17. Hon. R. Semple, Ministry of Public Works arrived at Whangarei this afternoon on the first stage of an extensive tour of the northland. He inspected the Onerahi aerodrome which he described as the makings of one of the finest aerodromes in New Zealand, it being the only one in which the runways ran in three directions towards the sea, the site being on the peninsula. The area of the 'drome is 113 acres. To-morrow Mr. Semple goes on to Russell.
