WANGANUI ASSOCIATION CHAMPIONSHIP TOURNEY SATURDAY’S RESULTS. The Wanganui Croquet Association's championship tournament was continued on Saturday under ideal weather conditions, with the following results:— Handicap Singles (4 bisques and under.)
Second Round. —Mrs. Holroyd beat Mrs. Ballingall 26-18; Mr. Gibbs beat Mrs. Carrig. 26-15; Mrs. Lockett beat Mr. Shield 26-20; Mr. Harrison beat Mrs. W. Clympnt 26-17; Mr. La Roche beat Mrs. Torstenren 26-25.
Handicap Singles (41 bisques and over.) Second Round.—Mrs. Downey beat Mrs. Easton 26-10; Mrs. Lynch beat Mrs. Currin 26-12; Mrs. Drummond beat Mrs. Bamber 26-24; Mrs. Trussell beat Miss Langton 26-16; Mr. Dixon beat Mrs. Perry 26-17. Ladies’ Championship. First Life.—Mrs. Richardson beat Mrs. Bassett-Smith 26-12; Mrs. Blennerhassett beat Mrs. McDougal 26-20. Second Life.—Mrs. McClymont beat Mrs. Jarvie 26-23; Mrs. Richardson beat Mrs. McDougal 26-18. Men’s Championship. Fiyst Life. —Jarvie beat Ogier 26-8; McClymont beat Gibbs 26-21; Harrison beat La Roche 26-22. Second Life. McClymont beat Ogier 26-7; La Roche beat Jarvie 26-18.
