NORTH BROKEN HILL DIITDEND. . North Broken Hill, Limited, has advised the Stock Exchange Association that the directors have declared a dividend of 6d a share payable in Melbourne on March 28. Transfer books will close on February 28. The dividend is at the same rate as that for the previous quarter.

The directors of Huddart, Parker, Ltd., shipowners, Melbourne, announce that, subject to audit, final dividends of 3 per cent, on preference shares and 6 per cent, on ordinary shares will be paid for the half-year ended December 31. In addition, a bonus of 2 per cent, will be paid on ordinary shares. With the interim payments made in September, the preference dividend for the year will be unchanged at 6 per cent., and the ordinary dividend will be increased from 11 per cent, to 12 per cent., plus the bonus of 2 per cent. In 1936 hnd 1935 the ordinary dividend was 74 and 7 per cent., respectively.
WOOLWORTHS LTD. RECORD PROFIT.
A preliminary statement shows that a record net profit of £271.693 was earned by Woolworths, Limited, in the year ended January 31, being an increase of £53,976 over the previous highest figures. The final dividend is 114 per cent., making 174 for the year, compared with 15 per cent, in the previous year. The net earnings compare with £217,717 in the previous year, when a bonus issue of one fully-paid share of 5s for every five shares held was made. The paid capital of the company is £1,203,332 ,in which there are 3,713,328 ordinary shares of 5s each, in addition to £275,000 preference capital.
