WELLINGTON PRICES STEADY. Prices of sheepskins and hides showed no change at the sale held on Friday by the Wellington brokers. Sheepskins: The improvement recorded at the last sale was maintained, prices being fully firm. Hides: A good demand was met with little alteration in prices, any change being in sellers’ favour, except for light calf \vhich were about 5d lb. lower. Tallow: There was only a small offering which sold at unchanged prices. The range of prices is as follows: — Dry Sheepskins: Halfbred, 6d to 7Sd.; fine crossbred, 5-ld to 73d; medium crossbred, s?d to 7.id; coarse crossbred, s?d to 73d; half wools, 4&d to 7d; quarter wools, 3M to 51d; pelts, 23 d to 4.id. Hides: Ox, 331 b. to 441 b., 43d to 5 3-8 d; 451 b. to 52ib., 4i'd to 5 7-8 d; 531 b. to 591 b., 5 l-8d to 61-8 d; 601 b. to 691 b., 51-8 d to 6id; 701 b. and over. 3£d. to 6Jd.
