DROUGHT RELIEVED
VICTORIA AND N.S.W. GOOD OVER-NIGHT RAINS [By Telegraph—Press Association —Copyright] Received Feb. 17, 10.35 p.m. MELBOURNE, Feb. 17. The protracted drought in Victoria has been partly broken with good overnight rains which have now spread into New South Wales replenish the Burrinjuck Dam which supplies the rice crops. There was grave anxiety lately as to whether the rice crops would be saved owing to the possibility of water from Burrinjuck having to be rationed.
