murder of aged woman. EVIDENCE FROM HIDDEN RADIO IN POLICE CELLS. Received Feb. 17, 6.50 p.m. WINNIPEG, Feb. i 6 Convicted of beating to death a woman of 81 years in a burglary, three men, Peter Korenowski, Daniel Prytula, and William Kanuka were hanged together. Desperate for funds for a series of carousals, they plo.ted to rob a 91-year-old farmer, Elko Cottick, who they believed had wealth concealed on him. They broke into the farmhouse, beating and trussing Cottick. His wife resisted and she was fatally beaten. The accused were only arrested | suspects but the trio supplied damaging evidence unknowingly by •• discussion of the crime and an a eemei*‘. to tell the same story in Uo.u■ all of which was recorded through „ hidden police radio in the cells. °
