Women Drinkers.
A “startling increase’’ in drinking among women and young girls is alleged by the Rev. F. H. Rayward, of the Sydney Central Methodist Mission. “You can see girls in the early hours of the morning in various stages of intoxication," he declares. “These girls were sent by God to be
some man’s inspiration and comfort. They were meant to have children. Instead, they are going to cocktail parties. They are sowing their wild oats as the young blades of the opposite sex did years ago. I appeal to girls to separate themselves from those who do this kind of thing. Purity, goodness, and modesty have a. value as priceless as rubies,”
