FOOTWEAR MANUFACTURERS’ CONFERENCE
NEW OFFICERS ELECTED SHOE RESEARCH WORK [ Per Pres Association.] WELLINGTON, Feb. 16. The following officers were elected at the annual conference of the New Zealand Footwear Manufacturers’ Association: President, Mr. D. V. Wilson (Christchurch); vice-presi-dent, Mr. E. G. Bridgen (Auckland); executive, Messrs. V. H. Dearsley (Auckland), P. Edwards (Wellington), J. A. East (Christchurch), J. R. Luff (Dunedin); executive of the Shoe Research Association, Messrs. W. Denby (Wellington); P. Edwards (Wellington), S. Livingstone (Wellington); M. R. O'Shea (Wellingtone). The discussion on the report of the Shoe Research Association was attended by Dr. E. Marsden and Mr. P. White, of the Department of Scientific Industrial Research. The plan of research work for the coming year was drawn up.
