A meeting of the Government and Pa estine delegation agreed that a committee of the conference should be set up to consider in greater detail some of the points raised regarding; tl:e McMahon correspondence. , Another meeting will be held tomorrow to discuss the first of the specific proposals of the Arab delegation. namely that an independent Arab State should be established in Palestine. : l:"re was also a meeting of Jewish and United Kingdom representatives and it is hoped that it will be possible very shortly to deal at these discussions with some detailed aspects of the Palestine problem, such as immigration, land sales and constitutional matters as they interest the Jews.
