WANGANUI KENNEL CLUB
A SUCCESSFUL SEASON ANNUAL MEETING HELD. At the annual general meeting of the Wanganui Kennel Club it was announced that the club had had a successful year. A large number ot entries for the show, in spite of the inclement weather, had resulted in a fair profit to the club and at the end of the'financial year the balance was still on the right side. The following officers were elected: Patron, Dr. H. D. Robertson: president, Mr. N. W. Bond; vice-preA-dents, Mrs. Speed, Messrs. J. White, W. Gillies, E. J. Williams, B. Kench and J. Hutchinson: committee, Mesdames B. Leigh, H. Watson, A. Jones, Misses E. C. Hutton and P Anderson. Messrs. S. Kitson, A. Skilton. G. Sherman, Wm. Thompson, S. Green, D. O’Connor, A. Jones, N. T. Quinn; hon. surgeon, Mr. A. Bailey M.R.C.V.S.; hon. secretary, Mr. L. W. Young; assistant hon. secretary. Mrs. L. W. Young; hon. auditor. Mr. B. Kench; show manager, Mr. W. Upton. The president, Mr. N. W. Bond, said he desired to thank all supporters, both local and from other centres, who contributed to and supported the last show. He also congratulated the committee on the way it had worked during the year. Especially at the last siiow the committee had worked as one man and made the event go with a swing which was thoroughly appreciated, especially by visiting exhibitors. The meeting closed- with the election of a sub-bommittee which was given power to arrange for ribbon parade to be held shortly. The ribbon parade is an annual event held by the W.K.C. and Toy' Dog Club combined.
