TAIHAPE CLUB MEETING "FITNESS WEEK" ARRANGEMENTS. (Own Correspondent.) The executive committee of the Taihape Amateur Athletic Club met on Tuesday evening, when there were present: Messrs. H. D. Bond (chairman), H. R. Rush, R. Spence, J. Teirney, F. Hunt, E. Finn, T. Auld and the secretary (Mr. W. A. Smith). The question of the club’s representation at the "Physical Fitness Week" was raised by Mr. H. R. Rush who inquired when was word received about the meeting. The Chairman: A week before. .Mr. Rush: Arrangements should have been made for this club to be represented; somebody should have been appointed. We should do things in a businfes-like manner. The Amateur Athletic Club should be represented at meetings of that kind. I would suggest that extra twilight meetings be held during the “Physical Fitness Week.’’ Mr. R. Spence: I would suggest that we run a twilight meeting on Tuesday of next week. * It was decided lo submit a programme to the Physical Fitness Week Committee providing for twilight meetings on Monday, Tuesday and Friday of next week, non-registered runners to be allowed to compete. On the motion of Mr. Auld the meeting accorded Mr. H. R. Rush a vote of thanks for representing the club at the Physical Fitness meeting. The secretary was instructed to write to the West Coast (N. 1. Centre regarding the centre championships.
