WOODVILLE EWE FAIR.

Abraham and Williams, Ltd., report a total yarding of 6700 sheep at the Woodville fair on Monday. This entry was comprised principally of ewes on account of Woodville farmers. 'ln the catalogue were several lines of splendid four-and five-year ewes, which attracted keen attention at possibly slightly reduced rates to those ruling at other immediate fairs; nevertheless, there was good buying power and they report almost a total clearance at auction. A few special sales are as follows: Account P. W. Maurice, Whariti. four-year ewes, 23s 6d; two-tooth ewes, 27s 6d; four and six-tooth ewes 26s Id; account T. F. Fountaine, Kumeroa, four-year ewes, 235; five and six-year ewes, 19s-; two-tooth ewes, small, 23s 9d; account Alfred Ramsden, Kumeroa, four-tooth ewes, good, 26s 7d; account E. Burling, twotooth ewes, 25s 7d; account H. Smith, Coonoor, two-tooth ewes. 25s 7d; account R. E. Meech, Pongaroa, twotooth ewes, extra good, 29s 6d; account T. H. Bryant, two-tooth ewes, good, 24s 7d; account J. Bassett, twotooth ewes, 265; account H. Houlbrooke, five-year ewes, 19s 6d; account W. A. Cook, four and five-year ewes, 19s 9d down to 19s; account J. Oxenham, four and five-year ewes, 12s 9d; account A. Tate, five-year ewes, 14s 6d. And other prices are: Five and six-year-ewes, 10s 6d to 13s 3d; woolly b.f. lambs, 12s 6d to 15s 9d; shorn wether lambs, 11s to 14s 6d; and two-tooth wethers, 14s 6d to 16s
