UANOI’US TO BE REPLACED I Per Pre-s Association.; DUNEDIN, Feb. 14. Owing to some defects having been discovered in the boilers of the Canopus during the annual overhaul, the Westport Coal Company. Limited, have decided to lay her up indefinitely. Her place will be taken by the Kaimai, which has been chartered from the Union Steam Ship Company. The Westport Coal Company has placed Captain Rowlands, for some years master of the Canopus, in charge of the Kaimai.
