U.S.A. SUPREME COURT
JUDGE BRANDEIS RETIRES Received Feb. 14, 5.5 p.m. WASHINGTON, Feb. 13. Judge Brandeis has retired from the Supreme Court. While he gave no reason, it is known that he has been suffering from ill health recently and it is rumoured he is contemplating aiding the world movement to help his distressed co-religionists. His retirement will permit President Roosevelt to make another so-called Liberal appointment, although since Judge Brandeis is from the same group the complexion of the Court will not be 'hanged.
