A spectacular collision between a light car and a Government omnibus occurred at Hastings last night resulting: in the removal of Mrs. Emma Tate, aged 75, of Hastings, to the hospital. Her condition is serious. The car was travelling in a westerly direction along Main Street end struck the bus, which was travelling across an intersection squarelv amidships. The forepart of the car vas completely wrecked but there was only slight damage to the bus. The passengers were startled but uninjured. The driver of the car. Norman Tate, of Waipukarau escaped with a scalp wound.
