MORE THAN SIXTY INCHES OF RAIN BRISBANE, Feb. 13. A youth was drowned in floodwaters in South Johnstone and a survey party is marooned at Jarra Creek, following torrential rains which swept the tropical coast at the week-end. Train services in the north were disorganised and passengers stranded. Since the New Year 67 i inches of rain have fallen in the Tully district and 59 inches in Cairns. This is more than they received during the whole of last year.
