TAWHERO CLUB MEDAL ROUND PLAYED SATURDAY’S RESULTS A medal round was played by the Tawhero Golf Club on Saturday. The winners were T. Merrie i<n the men’s section and MiSs Leyland in the women’s section. Following are the best scores returned:— « Men’s Section
tween Wallis and R. Tisch against J. Ward and A. Walker. The former pair played well to win the first set, Tisch especially. Walker and Ward won the second set easily. The last set was an even game, only the steady play of Ward and good lobbing by Walker carrying them through. Mailman and Pidwell were too strong for their opponents and this, pair will go further in the event.
Wanganui East will play a match next week-end against Rata. All events must be played in another round next week-end.
