Bates has been appointed to 1 arrange a miniature rifle match be- 1 tween members of the club and a team from the various sports bodies. At a recent committee meeting of ■

the Patea Golf Club it was decided that the links will be open to the public free of charge during Fitness Week and any persons wishing to play are invited to avail themselves of the opportunity. A demonstration will be given one evening by some of the leading players and those of the public present will be given the opportunity to play a few holes with members. A "drive” for new players is to be undertaken as a way of furthering the objects of Fitness Week.
